Link Popularity, Is It Really That Important?

Building Links Is Far More Important Than Anything Else In SEO!
Link Popularity, Is It Really That Important?

I have been receiving e-mails from my readers asking me why we don’t talk about on-site optimization that much. Why we have been focusing on link popularity, and other off site techniques rather than telling you about Title tags, Page Headers, Keyword Density, and such. So I decided to create this post explaining why on-page optimization is far less important than simply creating one-way inbound links!

Fact: Many websites receive qualified search engine traffic due to link popularity alone. Most Flash-based websites are unable or unwilling to have any on-page criteria, and link development is often their only option.

So the question is, do flash based websites get ranked #1 on Google, Yahoo, Msn, and the other major search engines for highly competitive keywords & phrases?

Well let me show you a website that is currently ranking for one of the most competitive keywords that I know of with absolutely no relevance, no text, and a few internal links!

Search the keyword “SEO” in Google, it”normally” stands for Search Engine Optimization and it receives 5,000,000 global searches on Google alone per month! The competition is unheard of but yet this site “www.seo-usa.org” ranks #7 in Google, #10 in Yahoo, and #6 in Msn for this highly competitive keyword that is worth nothing to them!

The site in question “www.seo-usa.org” has the title “SEO Home” no real text, a couple internal links, and some graphics! Now you tell me, why does it rank so high in the major search engines? There is nothing there! It is obviously outranking sites that are far more relevant! Sites that have been optimized to the tee, or getting destroyed by this irrelevant web page!

So Why?

Wait for it….

Strong One-Way Inbound Links!

That’s right this site is for “Sponsors for Educational Opportunity” or SEO! So when sites linked to them they used the anchor text “SEO” and that is the only reason they are ranking so high for a search term that millions of other webmasters would love to have!

So a site that wasn’t even trying to compete for a very popular search term is dominating search results due to strong one-way links, and you can be too! So get out there and start creating links to your website now!

Create Contextual Links Fast And Free!

Search Engine Optimization now revolves around link building”.

Inbound Links make your website stand out prominent in the SERPs. In today’s SEO world, more than 95% of the focus is on building quality backlinks!

Contextual Link Building SEO

Contextual Link Building makes up a great new option to traditional link building tactics. A contextual link is produced from creating a keyword rich article that includes an embedded link to your web page. The articles are then added to a site that corresponds the precise theme of your website. Best of all, a complete page is devoted to your article! This assures that there will be no additional links on the page other than your own. As soon as the article is “live”, 10-20 backlinks should be created to the article to guarantee that it acquires plenty of link popularity over a period of time.

In all probability you have figured out, that contextual links are exceedingly effective and well worth the effort! Google, Yahoo, and the all of the other leading search engines count these links as some of the most beneficial incoming links a website can obtain. Contextual links make for lasting, 100% relevant backlinks to your website!

So How Do I Create Contextual Links?

  • * Create articles based on your website’s theme including one or two links back to the web site with relevant anchor text.

Any links coming from articles that you write should be thematic! Thematic links are regarded  to be more crucial as they’re on a site that plays off the precise subject of your web site and above all, there are no additional links on that page.

Therefore the entire page is exclusively created for your website’s link and the best part is that contextual links are permanent and amazing for your search engine optimization campaign!

Now lets assume you’ve already created your 100% relevant on topic articles! Where should you submit them? Tons of people will tell you to submit your articles to article directories and that is a good idea for some but I personally like to have complete control over my content! So I create Blogs with some of my new articles! Why? Well, think about it! You will now have a new site that you can use to leverage search engines even further if you choose!

Now once you have created your new Blog your done, right? Wrong! You need to create links to your new blog post! But don’t worry this process is going to be simple for you because we have created the perfect tool! It’s called the dofollow blog finder and it will find relevant blog posts for you to comment on and get high quality links to your new blog posts fast!

Making Money Online – Real Website Optimization

Making Money Online
Alright optimizing your website for search engines is only half the battle. The real challenge comes in to play when attempting to attract new customers and make conversions. Your website maybe on the front page of Google, Yahoo, and Msn but if your page is not user friendly with functional navigation and a good sales pitch your business will fail!

Here at Seo Positions we believe that usability and understandable body text should come before all other aspects of web development. Next you will need to perform keyword research and adjust your title, description, headers, and copy using researched keywords.

Then you will need links and depending on the competition in your chosen niche you may need tons of them! But there is a difference between a good strong link that will make a difference in your search engine placement and a weak link that will do little towards your success. Relevance is the key to success in getting that #1 spot on Google through your incoming links!

Having sites link to you that have absolutely nothing to do with your niche will serve little if any benefit from a search engine standpoint. Although these links may benefit your online business in other ways a far as traffic and PageRank is concerned.

PageRank isn’t worth a whole lot other than bragging rights and selling links. If your goal is to sell links then you wouldn’t necessary care if a site that is linking to yours is relevant as long as it has good PageRank.

We have seen websites with a PageRank of 1 destroy high page ranked competition in organic search results countless times. Why? Because of natural looking relevant and consistent link building techniques, ohh and because PageRank doesn’t mean a whole lot anyway!

So in conclusion, don’t worry about the PageRank of any given link! Instead look at the relevance and use your researched keywords as anchor text for your link. We have tools that we have created that will help you to build links like the “Dofollow Blog Finder” and “The .EDU Blog Finder” and we recommend using other services like “The Free Traffic System” that will bring in tons of links and also generate some much needed traffic!

Internet Marketing Long-Term Strategy

If Internet Marketing Is Driving You Crazy, Read This Post!

“Internet marketing at it’s finest” What does this mean? To me it means a long-term strategy of link building and content management. You need strong links to compete for highly competitive keywords and phrases and you need plenty of content in order to make the search engines happy.

Links from relevant authority sites with high pagerank being the best links possible! You should also get other links like: Free Directories, Article Submissions, Blog Comments, and Press releases.

Relevant links can be bought, but this is not necessary in fact you can get some of the highest quality relevant links for free! SEO Positions has created a free tool to find relevant educational links “.EDU Links” for you, but why? Educational links are trusted old sites with high pagerank and they hold lots of search engine trust and love!

The free educational blog finder will find plenty of related blogs for you to comment on and many of these blogs are “dofollow” meaning that any pagerank they have can be passed through them into your website.

Good search engine optimization has a lot to do with getting links! But you will also need organic onsite optimization as well! On site optimization broken down into it’s most important features and leaving all else out, is creating good keyword rich titles. Meta descriptions that people will become interested in and hopefully click. Also using H1 – H3 headings with important keywords will help and interlinking your pages together with strong keywords as your anchor text!

But the most important part of a good search engine campaign is defiantly the linking structure! So that brings me to this! Did you know that one of the biggest competitors in almost every market “Wikipedia” gets a large portion of their links from blogs? Oh, and I almost forgot, they get a large portion of links from their own pages too!

In fact there are tons of successful websites that mainly get links from their own internal pages, linking every page to another page and creating the perfect internal linking structure for their sites and individual pages and ultimately becoming more powerful!

So interlink your pages and also investigate your competition to see what sites are linking to them! You will find that there is a ton of blogs that you can easily get links from that are already linking to your competitors! But the best part is that you can use the Yahoo! Site Explorer on all of your competitors and steal all of their blog links really easily!
