Okay first you will need to fine tune your website title, description, and content to be considered relevant but relevant for researched keywords and key phrases that have low competition & lots of search engine traffic! But how do I find the right keywords for my niche that fit that criteria? Good question and to answer the question I recommend using Adwords Keyword Tool!

Alright the tool is free & the results are from the biggest search engine around Google! Now that is great news right? Because the search engine that we will be targeting for tons of free traffic is giving you a list of keywords & telling you how many times those keywords have been searched within the month.

Okay now you will want to go to the Adwords Keyword Tool and type in the top tier search phrase that you will be competing for example: If you where competing for “Search Engine Optimization” you might start with “Search Engine Optimization” but also use “Search Engine Marketing” or “Internet Marketing” in fact I recommend you start your search with several high end key phrases.

Now your going to type in the capture and click get keywords.

You will see several keywords generated by Google with a green bar ranking the Adwords competition “The Adwords competition is not what we are interested in because we are not paying for keyword to be listed through their sponsored ads” Other keywords related to the key phrases you started with & the amount of traffic that you could expect through optimizing for these keywords.

Now For The Important Part!
Never try to optimize one page of your website for more than one competitive key phrase or two non competitive key phrases! Instead focus on creating new informative pages targeting each one of your keywords separately then linking to these new pages from your main page! But always keep your visitors in mind & never force keywords in to your content just to get search engine love instead add more content until your keywords fit and neatly in your context.
